Evening gents,

I hope everybody's exams went/are going acceptably, but now its time for something far more relevant to our interests. There will be a PC in the William's Room of the John McIntyre building from 7pm, Friday the 1st of June to 7pm, Sunday the 3rd. (starting and ending times subject to change).

As usual the LANs will be up and running overnight and there will be various scheduled games as well as downtime and messing around and PROBABLY a little bit of League of Legends.

Schedule and other details to follow later.

If you need help getting lifts for your gear please post here to arrange it or on the facebook page.

Looking forward to seeing you guys there!

30 Days of Gaming - Day 10 – Best game mechanics

Hi all, it has indeed been sometime since the last entry, hope you've not all forgotten about it....

This originally should have been "Best bestplay", but I think that's lacking in focus and could ultimately end with people picking their favourite game as opposed to gameplay. Mechanics however I feel is more particular and not necessarily reflective of the gameplay, although linked. Anyway, enough babbling.

Quake 3 - PC

One of my favourite games ever and needless to say I'd argue (until the end of time or until someone gags me) that it's the best deathmatch game ever made. Every single aspect of the player movement, level design and weapon system is perfect and is as exciting to play now as it was when it came out.

Hey guys, we've been going over the idea of having a PC LAN, or some sort of social event at the end of the exams, and I was wondering what your thoughts were.

I'm sure a lot of you will be going elsewhere after exams terminate, and may not want to lug your gear to a LAN before having to pack it up for transport elsewhere or what have you, so perhaps something like the Brewdog meetup would be a more appropriate, and indeed more traditional way to celebrate the end of exams?

Just let me know here, and we'll see about setting something up! :D
