Swearing in post = tolerated
swearing in post subject = frowned upon.

Besides, there are much better words. In the spirit of b3ta: how to swear (http://www.b3ta.com/features/faq/#swear)
If you are going to swear though, we prefer more creative forms of profanity:
Portmanteau: twat + cunt = twunt. Can you think of your own?
Animal combos: cock-badger and kitten-flaps have been found to be most effective.
Reversal: by reversing "fuck" and "cock" you can substantially improve your swearing. EG: "Cock off you cocking fucksucker."
Stand out from the crowd and find your own swearing style. Maybe yours will catch on.

Actual gameplay footage - 4:20 into this video (http://crackle.com/c/jacehall)

Not much, but better than we've seen.

What engine is that? Is it the id Tech 4 engine used in Prey you think? Yay! Shrink ray!!

It will be modified unreal tech, I haven't seen anything to indicate that anyone has purchased licences to use iD tech 4, if the DNF team had bought a licence it would have shown up in the end of year finances and we'd know.

It's quite a low turn out for iD tech 4 based games in comparison to previous generations. Cost and competition I guess. The only games that use the iD tech 4 engine are Doom 3, Quake 4, Prey and QW:ET, with only Prey 2 and a new Wolfenstein series being listed as future titles. There was just something about the footage which look similar to Prey, but it is a low res video and watching is never same a playing when it comes to identifying an engine. I guess it must be the Unreal 3 engine they are using as they've been working with Unreal tech for sometime now.

The last 'official' report was the DNF was using it's own engine and that was the last gameplay footage we'd seen from E3 2004(?). The concept that they'd go off and write another new engine (surely DX10.1) with all the bells and whistles is silly when iD tech 5 and latest Unreal tech can be picked off the shelf is madness, ideally they are using something like a heavily modified UT3 engine (modified to support their art assests) and then will port it up to the most brand spanking new UT version when it is released (rather than doing what other teams have tried and co develop their game in the latest build which is apparently horrible as it is always full of bugs and requires too much support to work effectively)

Am I the only one that noticed that DNF appeared to have a floating score next to each kill? Either Duke has gone RPG (shit) or it is arcade nonsence gone insanely retro balls.

Anyway, looked gash, fortunately it has been confirmed that peice was done 'a while ago' so maybe they have saved it from the jaws of thunderous fail that that looked like it was going to be. For the record, it looked unreal.

Huh? New burry screenshots? Great. ;s (http://www.duke4.net/news.php?extend.229.2)

Alien thingy looks nice 'n' scary, and that stripper's ass looks great. :p Hopefully looks good at full res too. Anybody tried the new port to 360 arcade? It's ment to be pretty sharp.
