I'd love to indulge you Yega by improving my gfx card but tbh the thing that slows me down more than anything is the age of the rig. An overhaul is on the cards come the time I have a job.

Read the review muppet features, it quite clearly indicates that a new graphics card is all that is needed for your rig to be closer to all singing all dancing. Or at least for £100 you can see a HUGE performance increase.

Dude, harsh.

What specs do you have at the moment, Phizz?

OI!

I have already checked his specs, researched if this would help and then told him about it. I think the least he could do is read it before dismissing it.

FFS you want to see me get upset, then ignore my advice. Not much annoys me more. Muppet features is a term of endearment relative to what I meant.

P4 Northwood 2.66Ghz 133 FSB
768 MB RAM
GeForce FX5600

The sentiment is much appreciated Yega but at the same time that £100 would only stave the inevitable for a few months at best.

That is still a reasonably speedy system. With an upgrade to the AGP of a card at around the £100 mark, you'll get the massive improvement of the DX9.0c & shader 2/3. I've came off really quite well by sticking to £100 per graphics card. You don't get shit hot frame rates, but it's good for 2 years at least.

Well, I'll think on it but funds are a little stretched. It would be my JSA -20 pounds for the month.
