View Full Version : LAN#3 - Feb 06/07 - Call for setup helpers for febuary lan!

Hello all,

I'd like to kick things off for the febuary lan on a positive note and thank everyone who helped set up at the last LAN - you were all indispensable in ensuring the lan went as planned.

Of course, this lan will be no different in terms of effort required to set up - I would be very grateful if some people could put themselves forward as being available to help set up on friday evening (9th of febuary) from 8pm onwards.

We'll need some young, strapping lads to carry nice tables and chairs out of the lift and into the food factory, and yet more young strapping lads to move all the tables around into an ergonomic configuration.

Some cable boys (or girls, as this is an equal oppurtunities society) will be needed to run, tape down, and otherwise make safe the swarms of network cables inevitably required for a LAN party.

If 8-10 people could put themselves down for this list I'd be eternally grateful, as it means we could be set up in just a few hours. Thanks.

1) I thought there was a sign-up thread?
2) Have the QM not officially confirmed the dates? So we've not actually got the room yet?!?

I can't help with the setup, I might have to arrive late and leave early, depending on the weekend. Of course, I'll be technically unemployed but that doesn't mean I don't have work to do. :(

When I last spoke to Niall (Saturday), that was the case. The QM were being pretty shit with getting back to him.

I'll help, i think. Still need to fix my computer, so i can't guarantee i'll be playing, but i'm better at furniture-moving anyway.

Sid and I should be around to help set up, as per - cable in one hand, pint in another.

Once the transport thread goes up, I can give a run of lifts saturday morning aswel.

Sorry, don't think i'm gonna make it now - getting a nasty cold.

Edit: Should this thread be stickied (until after the LAN)?
