The basic details are this:

Tuesday the 6th of February from 11am till 3pm in Qudos.

We get one backboard and table, much the same as we had at the Freshers Fair I believe, and stall setup is from 10am onwards.

We also have the OPTION of asking for stage time, using the Qudos stage, during the event, I don't know what we could use this for other than Ru strip-teasing with the Pause Logo drawn on his buttocks. Suggestions?

Basically we're looking for between six and eight people to be available, to have two or three people at the stall the entire time, if we have plenty of volunteers available then we can schedule this easily and hopefully it can be a good laugh.

I'm more than happy to help if you don't have to be a student. Will probably be free all day.

Sure, i'd help out if I don't have lectures in that period:P

Can ANYONE who is willing to help give confirmation of what times they will be available, I seemed to get one yes and two maybes here.

I have lectures at 11-12pm and 3pm-4pm. So I will do it from 12pm until 2:50pm providing I can eat my sandwiches first.

If you're desparate, I'm good for 11-1, 2-3.

Fyndir
23rd January 2007, 18:31
Well that seems to be us pretty well sorted then. Anyone else will be gravy. =O

Fyndir: 11 - 3.

Sid : 12 - 2:50

Turkeyboy : 11 - 12 ; 2 - 3

Ches - 12 - 2

That's 2 of us there until 12, at which point there will be 3 of us, at 2 Ches leaves, Turkeyboy arrives, still 3...until 2:50 when Sid leaves which leaves me and Turkeyboy to finish up

Epic victory?

Sounds like it.

I would LOVE to have one or two extra people available on the day (much though we won't have enough room for more than two or three of us at the stall, I think) just incase anyone has problems.

Yeah, you'll note that I rushed it all out just incase my computer problems got worse.

Lucky me that the right people were online and it all works quite well.

I have lectures at 11-12 and at 2-3, will most likely be around the stand between lectures as a extra hand.
Anything you guys could need for the stand such as speakers or games?

I don't think we'll be doing anything with laptops or games really, from the sounds of it we'll have less space than we had at the Freshers Fair so we'd just be horribly cramped.

I think if we concentrate on flyers and talking to people we should do alright.

We may need Sid to take his shirt off to entice ladies over though...

Now that the discussion has finished Can we get back on topic like Sid is trying to please?

Thanks to all that helped out at the fair, notably Fyndir for helping setting up as well as Sid and Ches! We didn't get a lot of sign ups but this was expected. However, I think we drew quite a bit of attention to ourselves and had a bit of fun while we were at it. I tried to take some photos but the lighting was balls and my batteries were too low for the flash...:( I'll see what I can do with them though! :D

Let the message spread far and wide.

Turkeyboy is a miserable failure for not turning up when he said he would. >=(

Flame him, burn him to ashes, DESTROY HIM FOR THE GLORY AND HONOUR OF PAUSEGAMING.

Bump for epic victory.

We need a third person for another fair tomorrow.

Dear Clubs,
The QM is taking part in Applicants Visit day at the University next week and is
running a small scale version of the Freshers' Fayre in Qudos on Tuesday 20th
March 2007. I realise that is next Tuesday and its short notice but believe me
when I say I understand, hehe.
We've already had several clubs offer to help out so the event is shaping up to
be excellent. All we really need is a few bodies from each club, it can be any
member of the club and not simply an office bearer. The idea is to run the
stalls from 10am to 4pm and then all the helpers, board members and club
members can head upstairs committee room 1 for a wee after party where we can
have some free drinks and pull together some cash to get some giant cheap
pizzas from Little Italy.
It'll be an awesome chance to secure some members before they even reach
University and also have yet another fun social gathering afterwards.

So far it's just me and Pixie, so we really want a third person who can be there all day, or a few people who can shuffle in and out around lectures.

Volunteers?
