I think it was the damn card that blew the PSU. Not sure that manufacturers were ready for Nvidia launching the 7800s a few months after the top of the line 6800s were out.

Been E-Mailing Enermax's direct RMA service but they seem to be ignoring me. So when I get home I'm going to give them an ear full. In the mean time... nothing, I have a spare PSU but its only 400W which isn't enough for my spec.

Perhaps order a Tagan.. but I cant really afford to.

Mind you I think the reason my PSU melted was it was trying to give my 7800 power it didnt have. I probably should have used the converter that came with the card :roll:

Ohh I know, I could use to run a watercooled/TEC system, oh nope can't do that either. You are better to have two power supplies for one of those systems so you can run the cooling BEFORE the system turns on.

It would burn about 1500W from the mains as well, which would make your room very, very toasty after a short while.

At that stage, you're talking about installing air-con in your flat as a PC cooling system. Scary.

I've unlocked a weapon in BF2 - the barrett sniper rifle.

The thing fires through armoured glass so I thought I would get some practice in with it.

I can now shoot down helicopters and jets. :D

lol. Kick ass! I've noticed that you can shoot down helicopters on GTA: VC if you aim at the cockpit a lot faster but on SA that doesn't seem the case. Take 2 taken a step back in damage location?
