Thought we best start to get the transport sorted for the LAN. So far it's looking like roughly 10 people will need lifts. If the people needing lists (listed below), could give the name of their street, we can start to tie up the best route for the drivers based on who's close together.
Also, if the drivers that are willing to pick people up could post in here along with details of what they can manage, that'd be great.
Names of people still needing lifts:
Ross2006 (Cumbernauld. G68 0HW)
Names of drivers and the people they are taking.
Strings (http://www.pausegaming.com/forum/profile.php?mode=viewprofile&u=24).
acc85 (Location?)
Fyndir (Lancefield Quay. G3 8xx)
Phizz (Location?)
Ru (G12 0XX)
Uuurrahh (Murano Street)
gee (http://www.pausegaming.com/forum/profile.php?mode=viewprofile&u=39).
TK-Maximus (Maule Drive. G11 7xx)
Exuus (Dumbarton Road. G11 xxx)
LastChanceHotel (http://www.pausegaming.com/forum/profile.php?mode=viewprofile&u=32):
Bluepixie (Highburgh Road. G12 9xx)
YegaDoyai (Highburgh Road. G12 9xx)
Gloom (Hillhead Street. G12 8xx)
Probably best if the people getting lifts Private Message the drivers with their addresses and you can sort out the details from there.

I'm getting Raymond on Saturday.
Me or Naj will get Fyndirs equipment on Friday to save bother on Saturday.
Will get Phizz as I always do.
Can grab whoever is at Murano street aswell, as it would be on route to Phizz's.
The rest will have to sort out with Naj, but shouldn't prove too much of a problem.
If we could get phone numbers for the newer people that would be quite useful.
Edit: Well as Fyndir says, since Naj knows where to go, he can do it :)

Me or Lastchance will get Fyndirs equipment on Friday to save bother on Saturday.
He already knows where my place is, so he should have no bother swinging by, it'll have to be evening though since I have college all day..sometime after 6pm would work for me.

I can manage one load (other than initially dropping off sid’s and my gear.)
Car should manage three in one load - although I may need a navigator - the campus area not being my forte.
edit: I'll take the two G11's?

I'll take pixie and Yega.
and gloom.

Excellent. Thanks guys - that went a lot smoother than I had expected. Everybody that needs a lift should now be arranged with one. If anyone else needs a lift they should post ASAP so that something can be sorted out.
The people needing lifts now have the responsibility to get in touch with their driver (probably best via private message) to sort out the arrangments; their address etc.

OK, cool cool - I'll remove you from Strings' list. Got someone else to take you, yeah?
Edit: Just read in the signup thread that your computer deliery has been delayed. Shit! You got even an older computer you could bring along to use?

Actually scratch that x.x I will be coming after all. Will give Strings a phone and PM to confirm.
If someone could [I've already asked, failsafe in case someone forgets :P] bring some screwdrivers that'd be fantastic. I don't have any myself :D

Howdy just to let you, guys, know if, it is possible if anyone willing to give me transport, im working from, 1pm -7pm, but, if anyone is willing to give me transport in the morning to get my stuff to the LAN that would be good, then after work I’ll, just head straight to the LAN, like, since I’m, pretty far away that might be a better option, anyways I’ll do an all-night gaming, lol, who needs sleep when you have gaming, :), guys if u need to contact me , use email, or like phone my mobile 07895530798, thanks again :)

Is the plan for the bus going ahead? We've got time, but we need another driver over 21 and a student. I'll be online during the week on MSN, so get me then.

If the bus is available for use, we should definitely take it - means everyone can be collecting in one run, leaving Andy and Jan to focus on their committee/setup stuff on the morning.
Are you not eligible to be able to drive it, Dave?

Another few months until I can help with this. Is there some form of driving test before being eligible also?

Yeah I read it, but I can't understand why we'd need two, though, so I figured I'd post a fairly open-ended question in search of more information.

Sid, the reason 2 drivers are required is health and safety, because the drivers are not actually fully qualified PSV (or whatever they decide to call it this week) drivers they need a secondary driver in case something happens to the primary.

Ok, even though I said no in the signup thread things are a bit confusing.
My dad can give me a lift TO the next LAN, but not home from it, so if Jan/Strings/PeopleWhoCanDrive could keep that in mind and see if we can find space for me and my PC on the way home on Sunday that would be great. =)

^^^ for the above.
There wasn't anyone coming from Murano last time I don't think but if there is this time they might as well come with us.

Cheers for offering guys. We'll see how it's looking nearer the weekend and how many people need lifts. Don't worry too much about it, yet. I'll make a new transport thread for LAN #2 sometime next week once numbers are finalised.
