I for one think that the last LAN was one of the better LANs. Noones computer died at the LAN, noone threw a major stropp, the gaming was varied enough. All fairly relaxed and fun.
Pros:
16 odd folk, 7 a side CSS, BF2 etc
Good racing action, accolade to Jan for being the first to beat me at a LAN.
Some special DoW ownage, and getting owned.
Some BF2 sillyness ++Mogwai carnage
Sourceforts engineer mayhem and bonus block stealing.
AGM (change is good)
Cons:
Forcing Jan to do 4 trips in his car to get everyone home. (Cheers Jan, have a cookie)
The server finally giving proving it can't cut the mustard for 16 player 66tick source :(
Yeah, there were some DAMN fun BF2! source forts and source were grand too. Twas sad to see the president DAve step down, we shall always remember his wise words...

Best BF2 moments for me were when I was commander, dropping a car onto a bridge RIGHT in front of Strings on Zatar Wetlands and forcing him into the river was pretty hilarious, so was successfully dropping a car straight onto Mogwai's head when he was blowing up my artillery and such.
Note: Neither were TKs, just for a change. =D

Aye the LAN was certainly a good one.
Thats been the most fun I've had playing BF2 since the day of the demo release. The amount of fun I had with driving around with Viper and Adrian was unlimited
Particular favourite moments would have to be shooting down Mogwai and Caveman in their precious helicopter. Killing Niall by firing an AT rocket at our feet and managing to survive it somehow.... And of course, Fyndir's car drop of terror.
I found the source server to be pretty decent for a first effort. It was only really de_dust, for some obscure reason, that didn't work. Some pretty great moments with that aswell, particularly Exuus's TKing and g0r's 4 mile grenade kills.
Sourceforts was also pretty good, namely when our base got pretty much 70% dismantled by the other team and it was nothing short of defending terror for 2 minutes straight to stop them from getting any more flag captures.
So a great LAN for definite.
Would have liked some more LFS, but it was satisfying enough listening to Pete and DAve chat about lines, momentum conservation and other mystical things that I don't how how to do in-game.
And........ yeh, cheers for Niall and Pete for letting me hoover my PC prior to the LAN.
And a biiiiiiiiiigggg thanks to Rob for some great games of Smash Bros. I will practise wave thinging in my head.

thirded.
another low as per usual. My GAY computer and as per usual we'll all hope and pray I'll have something new for the next LAN. Here's to it.
Definitely one of the better lans, can't really fault anything other then the occasional server trouble - notably jans bf2 servers. All games had a decent level of participants and there wasn't much divide in the games played (apart from the console fun). The sourceforts maze was a real hoot, and I'm slowly getting fairly respectable at dow.
A good lan to finish the year on, let’s see if we can recruit new faces for the next one, I haven't seen some new students in a while - im sure an entire summer of ideas and a push at freshers fair will change that.
And kudos to Dave.

Yup. Wish I could have stayed longer, it really didn't feel like "enough".
Anyway, going with the trend.
Highs
- Sourceforts, i think it's love....
- BF2 Kubra Dam 16 player was fantastic. Esp the APC + Arty pwnage at the Power Station.
- Getting a shot of Red Orcerstra, I think I'm sold. Thanks Chris
- LFS MR5 goodness. Definately getting LFS now, not a question anymore!
- DoW was great even though only getting in 2 games. Damn you Ru and your cultists!
Lows
- My hangover
- Server, which I have plans for.
- People leaving early
- Logistical nightmare at the end. I never want to see that again.
I'm already thinking about what we need done and I'm considering a general meeting very soon.
