Dead DVD Writer

It seems my DVD writer has died, it can't read or write blank DVDs anymore. Apparently a ton of people are having the exact same problem with their pioneer drives at the same time.

Pioneers responce seems to be shuffling their feet and looking in the other direction.

That sucks, Pioneer went through a phase with the early DVD drives of making really terrible drives and some really good drives. Guess you'll be getting one of these (http://www.overclockers.co.uk/acatalog/Online_Catalogue_Blu_Ray_Writers_314.html)as a replacement yeah?

Ouch, thats a bit like going for choco biscuits and finding someones eaten them. :(

Get a Plextor if you can afford one......they're very nice. :D
