k folks lets all get a speed boost for BF2 eh?
Punkbuster scans your machine for cheats all the time. However, you can reduce the number of scans and still play!
PB_Sleep [Period]
Holds the period of time (milliseconds) that PunkBuster "sleeps" between processing cycles; the default is 60; lower numbers will cause PunkBuster to process events more times each second which also has the effect of increasing the bandwidth used by PunkBuster; Players with a modem connection will probably want to set this as high as possible
bring down the console "~" key (top left below "esc" for non lappys)
type "PB_Sleep 500" - the max sleep time allowed
then "PB_WriteCfg" - to save your command
now PB will send less traffic and it should speed up your playing just a little bit.
