nah, they'll be two completely different games (IMHO). BF2142 will be factions of humans fighting. ET is Human v Strogg, which is a way different feel. Also, my computer will probably run BF2142, should it exist :)

Regarding ET - DICE, as much as they can't write a GUI for beans, or know how match joining software should work, still have a lot of experience on how a large RedvBlue online game works, play balance wise. I'm not sure ET will be a great game; all I know is it'll be a pretty one.

The guys at Splash Damage are amazing when it comes to balance, I remember reading in an interview they spent a massive number of man hours testing and tweaking the balance.

Frankly, I'd trust Splash Damage more with balancing issues than I would with Dice.
