BF2 stats integrated into webpage [Archive]

As it says in the subject, I've added a new page to the website to display the BF2 leaderboard for GUNS.

If your name is not there, please post it here. I'm going online to get some practice in :D

There's two tables: one for GUNS members, and one for the friends of GUNS. Self-explanatory, really.

I'll need to get back to you on that. Im not on bf2s and will need to get a PID off bf2 (can't right now as im at work). Take it i need to be registered on bf2s to get stats here, right?

Nope, you can just stick your name into the BF2S website and it should give you a pid. BF2 would be a better place to look though.

I think you need a certain number of points to show up on the bf2s website though (100 or something)

Hey, i realise you guys are all busy getting various website stuff to work, but maybe you could add to the list that it might be nice to have a link somewhere obvious (Quick Links?) to the stats page. Maybe it would be cool to have at the bottom of peeps profiles aswell?

Obviously there are more important things to get working first.

What does the "progress" bar mean? Is it the amount of unlocks or something?

It's the amount of progress to the next rank as displayed at the bottom of your bf2s profile (http://bf2s.com/player/58249097/). In your case, right now it means you are 76.71% (6,137 score of required 8,000) of the way towards attaining the rank of Gunnery Sergeant.

Maybe they've updated the stats gathering (http://www.brainpecker.com/downloads.php#BF2Stats) package for BF2. It might be something like the directory has been write-protected or something. Sid will probably fix it soon.

Bah! Tearing my hair out, just when the site and forums were beginning to settle down we've had a chaotic last week and everything's randomly stopped working. I'm looking into this. Would be nice if someone gives me FTP access soon, too :P I suspect that php.ini is not loading Curl, perhaps.

Hash, give me your "PID" (an 8-10 digit integer). http://bf2s.com/ is quite helpful.

Maybe cos it's so stupidly high. I think the leaderboard code you are using is old (as demonstrated by the comparison button not working), you could maybe try it with a newer version.

Stats have been on and off for quite some time now, but considering there are no images in signatures anymore there seemed little point bringing it up. That and the fact that the core players all started playing 2142.

greasel put us all to shame tbh, so we destroyed the evidence. you can get stat-sigs ( not that i'd keep it, theyre sort of ugly and image-sigs in general are frowned upon) from 2142-stats.com, or the BF2 equivalent sites

libcurl (http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&q=libcurl+library&btnG=Google+Search&meta=) doesn't seem to be installed on our new servers, so there's not much chance of getting BF2 stats at the moment.

meh it's not too important - I was just trying to get a list of id's so I could check them on bf2s and see when people are online.

so much easier in 2142 with the built in friends system
