Pits luck sucked royally fairly sucky handicaps palmed coin, extra reroll 1 player killed before the game started by a thrown rock another player knocked out later by another thrown rock, A guy SI from dodging or going for it I forget which and pretty much failing every roll going. Then I killed another dude and Badly hurt another.

Oh yeah and the slap in the face which was my beastman throwing a successfull long pass which resulted in a TD while the elves kept dropping the ball like it was covered in butter

Dunno about polarised - I at no point got especially lucky against Gor, he was just so unlucky it didn't matter. That said, given that Iain is about to play Aaron, he's probably shitting himself.
