Sounds OK, £3.50 per hour, £20 for an entire weekday. Can you say "holiday LAN"? The machines are well speced, and recent games etc.

There's also a Strathclyde LAN club, I'm sure we can challenge them to a bit of online action. Who's up for showing who's the best uni in Glasgow :)

(there are rumours of a cally lan club as well)

I say we challenge every LAN club around, if we can get enough people between us we could have massive BF2 matches, find an empty 64 man server and just steal it. =P

As for the gaming place, that looks like fun, I might even see if they're looking for staff, need job for more money for more computer for more better gamings. =)

I'm in the microplay CoD team, and will be going down on thursday night if anyone wants to tag along.

Also going on sunday for some CS: S.

Oh, and a lot of folk from strath and cally play there, some are total shite, but one or two have some skills.

This Sunday?

Isn't the LAN this weekend though?

Or are you not coming this time?

Might join you on Thursday, don't think I've ever played CoD, however if it's anything like other 1900's based semi-historical FPSs I'll do ok. =P

£3.50 an hour isn't bad, grab £20 and play for 4 hours, have £6 spare for chips and a drink before heading home. =P

oh yea, so it is this weekend... yeh, I'll be at the GUNS LAN.

Ill prolly leave around 6pm on thursday from hillhead.

Anyone else?

Oh, and your first hour is free, so its £10 for 4 hours and a free hour on top of that.

If Strathclyde and Caley both have LAN clubs, we should try and organise a once-a-year (what's the word? oh yeah - annual) event, with all of us. We're always struggling to get 20 people, but with three clubs we should manage 50 fairly easily. We can call it [Insert something here]Con.

No?

£3.50 * 4 = £14

Taking into account the free hour that would make it £14 for 5 hours the first time, or £10.50 for 4 hours the first time.

So I think you meant to say it's £10.50 for 3 hours with a free hour on top of that. =P

Sorry, I'm pedantic, I know.

When is the place open to? I'll almost definetely see you there on Thursday, meet you in Central or something since I'll just walk over from here.

Add me to MSN or something ( fyndir@gmail.com ) and we'll work it out.

Someone think of an [Insert something here] and I'm all for it. =P

Given that I now have one of the highest post counts (yay spam) that must count for something, right? =P

Sounds like a cool idea, having a joint thing. Too busy to think of a name atm though.

Nemesis, I think I will join you on Thursday matey. Will it just be CoD though? Some CSS would be coool.

I left it alone just from the look of the front page, it felt distastefully cookie-cutter-ish as websites go.

Dare I say, i am actually a Strathclyde man, I looked into the strathy lan club a while ago and wasn't particulary taken by it. When I did check (months ago) the strathy lan was a one day thing in the actual union, and I seem to remember numbers in the region of just over 10.

It did cross my mind to have a joint thing. At one point I was considering asking dave if I could investage any strathy interest, but didnt bother.
Probably all that is needed is a post on their forums. *checks* if they have one ¬_¬

For Computing Science, no.

Yeah well I'm basing my claim on the professor at Strathclyde (EEE at Strathclyde) and my big brother (Computing Science at Strathclyde).

Both said Glasgow was better for CS.

...

Unless they just didn't want me at Strathclyde. =P
