Recent posts

I've been noticing that the board occasionally doesn't recognise there are new posts. This is not a critical thing, but it would be useful to me at least if there were a "past post" option available where the board would show you the most recent n posts or the posts from the past few days.

Has anyone else seen this happening (or am I spending way to much time on the forums :)

If so, which would be more appealing?

Last 250 posts (as an example):

User configured "show me the last n posts"

Or some sort of "recent topics" thing?

I haven't been on much recently seeing as I'm Interweb'less right now. :( BUt if you were going to go for one of those, I prefer the clean look of the first site. Still, not seen anything weird with the posts.....
