Night at the Pub Quiz!!! 17th October 2007

Hey folks,

Just to let you know that we're holding a wee social night out a week tomorrow (Wednesday 17th October 2007).

We're gonna head down to the Jim's Bar in the QMU for "The Big Wednesday Night Pub Quiz". It starts at 9pm. You're probably best to arrive between 7-8pm if you want to definitely get a seat, although if you're late I'm sure we can all squash up.

I hope that everybody comes along - I'm not sure how hard the questions will be and two heads are better than one! It'll be a good chance for us all to hang out when we're not deep in concentration on the computer!! I'm certainly pretty keen to get a chance to speak to everyone properly all after being kept busy all the time at the LAN!

This is also a good chance for new folk who haven't been to a LAN yet to come down and meet all of the gang! Everyone's obviously more than welcome to bring along non-PauseGaming mates, too. The more the merrier.

Well, there didn't seem to be that many actual quiz questions compared to singing, dancing and shoutouts for "DJ Shamrock" but I had a good laugh.

Yeah, sadly the pub quiz is not what it was in the glory days of Spoonie and Troutfish :-(

Still, it was good to see all of you, and I had a pint of guiness, so on balance it was a good night :-D Bowling sounds like a plan, I'd be up for that like.

we didnt get back til nearly 9 so i just went out with the swim team, bowling sounds good though

That pub quiz was unashamedly terrible. More than half of their time was spent inflating the MC and DJ's egos.

It was worth it, though, just to see the rage on String's face after the first half-hour of the drinking games :)
