Before Match

All games played in that round must be played on the specified map. Before you play your first game of the round you must PM/mail an admin (mogwai, sideshow or muppet) with the race you intend to play in the first game of that round. In game 2 the winner of game 1 will choose race first, and if it goes to game 3 then the winner of game 2 chooses first. You do not need to play game 3 if the first two games are decisive, but you may if you wish.

After Match

After you have finished the round the winner must post the scores and a zip/rar of the replays in this thread. Scores WILL NOT COUNT without accompanying replays.

Replays can be upload here: http://www.pausegaming.com/tournament/upload/index.php?dir=demos%2Fdow_league_1%2Fround04%2F

Gor 2, Yega 0

Mark takes an early control advantage in both games and (un)surprisingly my fast teching does not save me from the inevitable out eco army in the first game and a supremely botched rush on my part does not phase Mark in the second.

Here's the replays. Just looked over them again - looks like my blind builds were strong versus yegas builds.

First match the scout harass worked well, as peter went a heavy vehicle tech (that one scout squad lasted a long time), although I wasn't fast enough with rockets, so had to run around for a while, but the initial map control had set me up strongly.

Second match I decided to take the far away points first, meaning I didn't lose ground economy wise when the rush arrived - and could afford FC + 2 SM quite comfortably, with map control. Lost a ridiculous amount of troops here and there because they stupidly ran the wrong side of the relic straight into the infantry command - must remember to shift click them away from that next time.

Also, would it be possible to just write off brialzebub's matches so we can actually complete some rounds?

Second the motion to scrub brialzebub.

Brialzebub is effectively a bye round at this point. There's no need to alter the tournament setup. If someone else drops then we'll shuffle the pairings. Plus, there's always the chance he'll turn up and play his games...

mogwai 2 fyndir 0

titans fall is an ok map, game 1 fast tech to GK (a bit lame, but w/e) pays off as the orks dont harass, game 2 tau firewarriors + commander are enough to take it down. definite improvment from fyndir over the course of this tournament, expecting a victory any round soon :)

edit: forgot to mention sideshows 5-star commentary as well. cheeky git.

Yeah, I think I can win Round 10 for sure.

Other than that...hmmm...maybe, but I have my doubts. =P

i'll post up a round 5 thread in a minute, sorry for the delay! as of round 7, (Starting this evening / tomorrow) if you have outstanding matches 2 rounds old or more, the result will be auto-decided by an admin based on evidence of players willingness/availability to play. we didnt anticipate it would be a problem when we started, but with octavion and brialzebub nowhere to be seen, and others not trying/wanting to play for whatever reason, we need to speed things up, as its unfair on the rest of the competitors. so get playing!!
