That was misleading, you almost got me there. :D

For those in the know, that is Aiden Carmack that was fired. John Carmack is the chap with the power, and is still on the id team as far as I know.

[edit: Aiden is not related to John, BTW]

He was the inverter of the road surface, unfortunately someone misquoted his name on the patent application, and it stuck ever since.
